Dorothy
Rippon
|
|
We are sorry to tell you that Dorothy Rippon, Principal of
Eastbourne School of English from 1980 to 2000, died on 20 November 2003 after
a short illness. Dorothy devoted her
life to the school and her students for over twenty years and will be much
missed. We feel sad that she was not
able to enjoy a longer retirement. |

|
And don’t forget our on-line learning website where you will
find lots of reading, listening, grammar and vocabulary exercises to help
you with your English… and it’s absolutely free!
Just go to www.esoeonline.org
and start learning. |

Our students enjoyed two practical
Special Interest Groups this year.
Christine organised her popular Cookery
afternoons and students had a chance to make cakes, brownies, scones, pancakes,
flapjacks, muffins and cookies. A
great way to learn some new skills, practise your English in a relaxed
atmosphere… and enjoy delicious food.

 |
Gill
ran a fantastic Paper Marbling group during the Autumn Term. Using special oils,
the students created amazing and beautiful shapes and patterns on material and
card.
