A day out at Wakehurst Place
28th October 2009

Eastbourne School of English organised a day out to Wakehurst Place for all its students and teachers, in one of the last days of October when the Autumn colours were at their most beautiful. The 170-acre National Trust property is home to an outstanding botanical garden as well as the world's largest seed conservation project, the Millennium Seed Bank which has successfully banked 10% of the world's wild plant species.

Students took part in a fun, and of course educational, team treasure-hunt where they had to gather and photograph certain items they might find along their path. This gave them a good challenge and a break from their daily classroom routine.  Many students also took part in a special photo competition which produced some spectacular results.
