Eastbourne Institute... Argentina!
22nd July 2010
Eastbourne School of English has some welcome visitors this summer from its Argentine namesake. Beatriz Sandoval, who founded Eastbourne Institute in Neuquén State on the western border of Argentina, brought her first group to the UK to follow summer courses at ESoE.
Her vision of providing accessible courses to children, juniors and adults in her hometown of Elordi became a reality in 2006. She "wanted a name for my institute that really said ‘England’ and when I researched on the Internet, I found Eastbourne. It looked like such a nice place and I am really glad I have finally been able to come here and see it for myself.” At ESoE, we are really pleased to know that it has lived up to her expectations!
Beatriz’s group is formed of five students, including her daughter, aged 18 to 54 and with levels ranging from elementary to advanced. Beatriz hopes to come back to Eastbourne with groups for Teacher Training courses and summer students in future.
