Red Nose Day 2009
17th March 2009

At Eastbourne School of English, we are great supporters of Comic Relief, the charity which helps people in Africa, the UK and throughout some of the world's poorest countries. Red Nose Day is celebrated every two years in March and there are special comedy shows on the television. This year the theme was ‘Do Something Funny For Money’. So teachers dressed up and collected money from their students. We also made special Red Nose cakes (50p each) and asked students to pay a fine of 50p every time they spoke their own language. At the end of the day we had collected £233.00 from students and staff. Thanks to everyone who supported Comic Relief.

In the photos you can see that the school had some famous visitors: Captain Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond, Zorro and even King Kong!
