BEC success in Eastbourne
8th March 2010
In February 2010 we welcomed a large group of students from Luzern in Switzerland. They studied in closed groups and we helped them prepare for the important Cambridge BEC Preliminary examination, a test of Business English.
The students have to spend two weeks in England as part of their apprenticeship programme. When they are fully qualified they will find jobs in local banks and businesses or go on to higher education courses in Switzerland. We thank Karen Kurzmeyer of Small World for introducing this group to us.
The feedback about the course, school and host families was excellent. One student said: "The school lessons were great. I learned in these two weeks more than in two years in my business school. [...] Now I feel ready for the BEC." - Ona Glatt, aged 19 from Luzern in Switzerland.
