Culture and sport
In the Eastbourne area there are clubs where
you can take part in most sports including football, tennis, golf,
horse-riding, windsurfing and even hang-gliding. If you enjoy chess,
aerobics or dancing, you can join a local group - a great opportunity to
practise your English.
You can learn to play a musical instrument or
join an evening class to study almost any subject you like.
Eastbourne also has two museums and three
theatres as well as nine cinema screens.
London, with its world-famous West-end
theatres, concert halls, art galleries and museums is only 90 minutes away
by train and Brighton, too, 40 minutes by train from Eastbourne has an
internationally famous arts festival and many other attractions.
