Summer Plus

This is our most popular course, offering you the chance to combine General English lessons with activities and excursions.

In these courses, you have 19 full, 60-minute hours in class every week. You spend 15 hours a week with your main class and also have 4 hours of Special Interest Groups.

Social activities on Summer Plus

Included in the fees are social activities on Monday and Friday afternoons:

• boat trip to Beachy Head
• mini-golf on Eastbourne seafront
• swimming at the Sovereign Centre
• cinema
• football and volleyball
• ten-pin bowling at Lloyds Lanes

Half-day excursions on Wednesday afternoons are also included.

• Brighton for shopping and a tour of the picturesque Lanes area
• Hastings to see the Castle and the Smugglers' Caves
• Beachy Head and Pevensey Castle, built in Roman times
• Bodiam Castle and Battle, site of the Battle of Hastings

Special Interest Groups on Summer Plus

Special Interest Groups are part of Summer Plus Courses. These classes run for 4 hours every week. Not all Special Interest Groups are available at all times but recently we have offered:

• Reading and Writing Skills
• Listening and Speaking Skills
• Pronunciation Workshop
• English through Songs
• The Learning Centre
• IELTS preparation
• English for Business
• Music and Drama
