English plus Rugby

Have the best of both worlds. Improve your English at our school and improve your rugby skills. Sussex is home to some of the country's oldest rugby clubs and the sport has an established following in the area.

This course is run in association with Eastbourne Rugby Football Club for men's rugby (players aged 18+) and colts rugby (players aged 16 to 18), and Lewes Rugby Football Club for women's rugby (players aged 18+). Eastbourne RFC offers four successful senior teams at different levels. Lewes RFC's successful and friendly women's team offer full-contact rugby for all abilities. Girls' rugby (16+) is available at Lewes RFC on a non-contact basis.

This combination course is available September to April.

You can choose English Intensive 23 or 15 plus:

• Introductory hour of English for Rugby
• Two evening rugby practices per week with Rugby Football Union (RFU) qualified coaches
• A rugby game at the weekend if you are selected for a team

Transport, match fees and club membership are included. You must bring your own rugby kit and personal insurance cover. Failure to produce appropriate insurance documents may result in refusal of rugby practice. You may also be required to complete transfer forms in accordance with RFU guidelines if you are a member of a club in your country (we can arrange this for you).

Rugby level: any. English level: no beginners.
