British Culture and Language in the Classroom
A Teacher Training course for non-native teachers of English teaching secondary school students and adults
Course aims
- develop and update knowledge of British culture
- develop all areas of English language knowledge and skills: grammar, vocabulary, style, pronunciation and the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, using materials taken from film, television, the press and literature.
- evaluate materials for teaching aspects of culture
- explore a further range of authentic materials, including ESoE's online resource pack for teachers, to take home for use in the classroom
