Live and learn
We are able to organise a work experience internship programme for you while you are in the UK, on an unpaid basis. When you have finished your English course at Eastbourne School of English (minimum 4 weeks), you can start your placement. To join the Live & Learn programme, you must be a European Union national.
We work with Professionals UK, a quality provider of work experience placements accredited by University of Cambridge International Examinations. Professionals UK works on behalf of many of the leading British Council recognised language schools in UK, and is a corporate partner of Quality English and a member of London Chamber of Commerce.

Placements are mostly in London, but there may be suitable placements in Brighton or Eastbourne. We can also help you to find accommodation.
Placements normally last between 4 and 12 weeks.
Minimum English level:
Before start of placement, you must have a level of English equivalent to:
Upper-intermediate - IELTS 5.0/5.5 – Council of Europe B2 –FCE – TOEFL 500-520: "I can communicate reasonably effectively but do not always understand what people say"
Some placements (e.g. Customer Service) may accept a lower level of English.
You will not receive formal training during the placement but you will learn by working closely with professional people in your area of specialisation. These placements are not paid.

University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
As an accredited centre for CIE, Professionals UK can enter students for either the Standard or Advanced certificate in Work Experience. It is recognised internationally that the holder of the certificate has completed a quality work experience in UK.
